Trackers & Feeds

GovTrack has two types of trackers that you can browse or subscribe to (it's free) with RSS, Atom, or email updates:

"General Trackers": These trackers follow events throughout Congress, such as new legislation, enacted laws, etc.
"Specific Trackers": These trackers follow a particular slice of events in Congress: a bill, a representative, an issue area, etc.

See below for each type of tracker.

General Trackers

The following general trackers cover the activity of the whole Congress. Click the View Feed link to go to preview of the feed where you can see the tracked events or choose a feed format.

View Feed	All Roll Call Votes This feed includes all roll call votes on all legislation, amendments, etcetera. Select these events by adding this tracker.
View Feed	Activity on All Legislation This feed includes all major legislative activity, including the introduction of each new bill and all votes on legislation. Select these events by adding this tracker.
View Feed	Activity on All Legislation Except Newly Introduced Bills This feed includes all major legislative activity, excluding the introduction of each new bill. Select these events by adding this tracker.
View Feed	Newly Introduced Bills This feed includes the introduction of each new bill or resolution. Select these events by adding this tracker.
View Feed	Enacted Bills This feed tracks the enactment of bills. Select these events by adding this tracker.
View Feed	Upcoming Committee Meetings This feed includes tracked upcoming Congressional committee meetings. Select these events by adding this tracker.
View Feed	Community Questions & Answers This feed includes questions posed and answers suggested by the community of GovTrack users on all topics. Select these events by adding this tracker.

Specific Trackers

Trackers are available for every Member of Congress, bill, issue area, and congressional committe. To get these feeds or select these trackers, you must get to the appropriate page on GovTrack.

Members of Congress

Track your elected representatives by finding your Members of Congress. Events included with these trackers are:

* Activity on bills introduced by those representatives.

* Speeches on the House and Senate floors by those representatives.

* The votes of those representatives in alerts about the passage or failure of bills.

Issue Areas

Track issue areas to get alerts when

* Bills related to those issues are introduced, voted on, and enacted.

* Speeches on the House and Senate floors mention bills that are related to those issues.

Bills

When you are tracking individual bills, you'll get alerts when

* Any action is taken on those bills.

Committees

To track a committee, look through the committee list. Events from these trackers include:

* Bills assigned to the committee are introduced, voted on, and enacted.
